Khai is a Chicago architect and interior designer. Educated in the Bauhaus tradition and curriculum from The Harrington Institute of Interior Design, Chicago where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interior Design followed by a Masters of Architecture and Urban Planning from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.

For over 25 years, he crafted his career in America, leaving an indelible mark on interior architecture, architecture, and urban design for fortune 500 companies. He returned to Singapore in 2015, driven by a desire to expand his global footprint across Southeast Asia.

With a wealth of global experience spanning three decades, Khai founded KTARCH Pte Ltd, dedicated to infusing global design excellence and strategies for Fortune 500 companies into local contexts while catering to diverse clients’ aspirations. Guided by a Bauhaus curriculum, Khai approaches design with an innate understanding and passion for material potential, clarity in form, function, and craftsmanship while harmonizing with client visions to create a poetic whole.

Khai's extensive portfolio encompasses a wide array of projects, ranging from residential architecture and interiors, spas to corporate and commercial endeavors, including healthcare facilities, corporate headquarters, and urban master plans. Notably, he had also undertaken the restoration of 15th-century monastic relics in Bhutan.

Throughout his illustrious career, Khai has been a perennial recipient of awards from esteemed organizations such as the American Institute of Architects and the American Society of Interior Designers. His insights and expertise have also been featured in various publications, underscoring his influence in the design community.

An avid advocate for knowledge-sharing, Khai has participated as a speaker at prestigious events like the "Hospital Build Asia, Exhibition and Congress 2010”, at numerous American Institute of Architects International Region events on design and processes and also as a guest critic at institutions like the Illinois Institute of Technology. Additionally, he also served as a guest lecturer, critic, and thesis advisor at the Harrington College of Design in Chicago.

In 2024, Khai was awarded the Class 1 (ID1) accreditation (highest accreditation) for interior design practice in Singapore by the Society of Interior Design Accreditation Council.
